| Let's talk about "feeling" good. If you've read any of the Product Spotlights that have come before this one, you already know that I am a big fan of taking a wonderful, relaxing bath. I feel that it's the next best thing to taking a vacation to some exotic tropical paradise.
When I think about what is inspiring about a tropical paradise, it would be the natural setting, the feeling of thick lush botanicals everywhere, the ocean, and the all-over feeling of relaxation (not to mention that my skin loves the humid moist environment!).
This month's product reminds me of this experience in every way. What we have is one of nature's most perfect ingredients... Seaweed! Your first thought might be, "Yuck, you mean that green floaty stuff that I try to avoid at the beach?" Well, actually, yes. But in this case, we are talking about Algae that has been carefully harvested, naturally sun-dried, and packaged in a natural fabric bag for your bathing pleasure. And what a pleasure it is!
From start to finish you will enjoy this little bag of tropical paradise. You can throw it into the bath early on and let it fill the bath with it's nutritional properties. Or you can do what I do and save as much of it for your face as you can. Because that is the other wonderful feature of this product... it works wonders for your skin!! Once I'm in the tub, I lay back, put the pouch into the water and squeeze it gently for a moment or two. This is all that's needed to release the Algin (learn more here) from within the seaweed. You'll recognize it immediately as it comes out because it is what I call the "goo". It has a yellowish-soft green color, and this is what brings forth the miracles for your skin. I layer it all over my face and neck and massage it in. After about 10 minutes or so I wipe it away with a wash cloth. I love it so much that I repeat the process again before I'm finished.
Seaweed has great nutritional value for your skin, and it softens and tones like you won't believe! My skin always feels so incredibly soft afterwards that I ask myself why I don't use it more often. It's more firm to the touch as well, which always gives the feel of a younger, healthier complexion.
The other part of this treatment that I love is the scent, it's the good, fresh part of the ocean smell that you want to breathe in deeply. It makes you feel like you're right there with the crashing waves, the seagulls, and the warm sun. I love this product, and I've got to make it a ritual! It works on so many levels. You're going to be amazed at the power of this little sack of tropical paradise!
