My spin on the classic avocado honey mask. For dry, combination dry, dehydrated, and normal skin.

You will need:

  • 1/4 to 1/2 organic avocado
  • a couple teaspoons of agave nectar
  • optional: 1-2 drops of carrot essential oil

Directions: Mash the avocado and add enough agave to make a smooth paste. Add 1 to 2 drops of carrot essential oil. Apply a thin layer to your face or body and leave on for 10 to 15 minutes. Wipe off and then rinse off with water. People with less dry skin may want to follow this with a soap based cleanser, if you find this mask too oily (from the natural avocado oil). Store excess in the fridge for no more than a couple days (be sure to label your cosmetic and press plastic wrap over the mask to prevent browning).

Notes: The oil in avocados is very nourishing and good for very dry skin. Agave is an excellent substitute for honey in cosmetics, like honey it removes toxins and also hydrates the skin. Carrot essential oil is excellent for dry, mature skin.
